Calibration

It's been months since I lost this log. I misplaced this during our voyage back to Fakharu. I found it using Essence Triumphant while I was investigating my mess of belongings. It's all been a whirlwind and I hardly remember that time.

Fakharu released our erstwhile friend Hidden Opening to us and he roams around the currents of the island watching the waters. I have plans for him when we once more roam the West again. His unique talents will be useful now. He seems content now, I'm not sure he understood that living in "interesting times" was a curse in the Old Realm.

Naar and Emerald took care of most matters when we returned to Fakharu's Court and given this intoxicated state of mine now, I can hardly remember the details. I'm sure I'll find out in due time.

Facing this immense threat to the West, we realized we need to cultivate our strength. Fearing the worst for our lost Friend Akasha, Naar and Drifter realigned the manse and re-attuned to it sharing it with the rest of us, lest some Terrestrial recover the hearthstone Akasha carried and find the manse with a hearthstone compass. We've renamed it Akasha's Sanctuary in memorial to our friend.

Drifter along with the Dolphin and my assistance using Survival Charms, finally found his previous incarnation's manse. The Amethyst Arbor is an impressive structure. Too bad the automata and the control center are totally down. The lights and basic life support work however. He uses some hearthstone formed from the manse to power the Dolphin these days and has made a list of the items he needs to reactivate the automata.

Azure and Emerald have been working on the Island and have set up a basic government and the Cult to the Unconquered Sun and the local gods. We hailed it the Isle of Enlightenment or Sri Vijaya in the Old Realm. A small city has been built already, a new dominion is on the rise. Ironic that it's so close to my primeval hideout, the Isle of Forbidding Shadows.

As Drifter, Akira, and I went to Gateway, in Abalone to trade for supplies we met another Chosen and her entire retinue. Heaven immediately joined us desperately looking for safe haven from whoever was chasing her. Drifter and Akira traded processed foodstuffs and bought materials for construction and necessary tools for Akira's laboratory as her research in alcohol progressed.

I ensured that the men and supplies we requisitioned from the Western Trade Alliance were all deployed as ordered. I also bought our circle a plantation with a villa in Halycon for a base of operations down there. We had it staffed and furnished as well. I believe I will have to make similar arrangements in Coral soon. Many of the exotic flaura there were both utilitarian and aesthetically pleasing so we had those chosen by Heaven and Akira potted and taken to our island. With Azure's hearthstone, they now grow all over and most adorn the Lotus Gardens, as we call our personal residence complex in the Isle of Enlightenment.

Raging Snowstorm has ensured that our military is in the best shape possible. Even the villagers, common slaves, craftsmen, and other rabble they were previously are more than ready to defend themselves if raided. As they are now, they could have taken me down when I was a fresh Exalt. I almost pity the poor raiders that make the mistake of raiding our Isle.

Naar has also started an edification program in the school buildings we constructed. Production has become more efficient ever since and we soon plan to educate these villagers in lore, languages, construction, and the mysteries of the occult to further aid in our cause.

The shipyards are still being built but the workshops and lumber processing is doing fine now. The flats have already produced their first harvest of salt and the fish pens and cattle are providing a more balanced diet to the people of the Isle. We've had no trouble with the local gods due to Azure's brilliant take on the way the cult is progressing.

The Chosen have also set to increasing our strength. Our meditations on the power the Unconquered Sun has given us unleashed some more of the potential within us and along with mastering new charms we have also attended each Naar and Snowstorm's modules.

First day of Calibration, as we have begun to form a new Deliberative under our name in the West, we had quite a number of visitors arrive. Dozens of Fair Folk "Nomads" arrived right at the shores of our Isle. As Naar and I met with them they showed no hostile intentions and have set up a brisk trade with us. I've traded nothing and we keep Snowstorm away.

Now, I wait for the end of Calibration. I, for one, want to scour the seas to hunt for the enemies of the Unconquered Sun and Creation. I'm not entirely sure if my Siaka totem has anything to do with it but I smell blood in the water. It is time to sail the West again.
