Things just got a little stranger.
After Howling Wind's Departure, there was a frenzied planning session within Fakharu's tremendous manse.
A few Terrestrials led the planning giving us hints on how to combat shaping and the unformed. Not much help really. We Celestials centered our Essence learning some protection as led by Raging Snowstorm's example.
We were also joined by two new arrivals. The noble Zenith princess, Midday Emerald and a Sidereal woman whose name always seems to slip from my head except when I need to address her. The way the Spirits and the Terrestrials acted, it seemed we needed all the help we could get.
As we equipped ourselves with some superior mundane equipment and armor, an old acquaintance arrived bearing the Globe of Precious Stability. Hunter of Okeanos said that while he was willing to join us in battle he had been ordered and was oath sworn to protect the Globe while on the ship. Raging Snowstorm and I assured him that he will be very, very bored.
We had time to spare before the invasion so we decided to make a quick incursion into the Wyld to retrieve the Wyldbreaker Ship. The trip was uneventful and we found the missing Purveyor of Golden Arches intact and with the Reality Engines working, but utterly strange. Our Sidereal companion said that the ship was in Reality but not a part of Fate... whatever that means.
After we discovered more mysteries than answers we decided to tow the ship back and place it in the center to protect our allies while we led the attack from the Arc of First Light. We had no time to do otherswise.
The Invasion was on. The unshaped monsters came in droves but before they even set foot in our reality Naar and Midday Emerald convinced it to take us Celestials on before they declared themselves winners. The leader agreed to face us alone and if he could defeat us, this part of Creation would be his. Apparently, if we weren't able to stop him now, it would not matter anyway.
As we entered the unshaped monster, we were assaulted from all sides but nothing got on the ship because of a very clever charm from our Sidereal companion whose name once more escapes me.
The monster made it's story from what seemed to be a very classical but burgoeis play about pirates just about romanticizing every bloody element about it. We had to attack one of the rather obvious maws of the Raksha. Which was a ship which strangely looked like my previous ship before it was sunk by the Lintha bastards.
The strange ally of the Midday Emerald, a Lunar named Still Wind proved to be the maw's downfall. I launched him towards the manifestation of the Raksha taking it completely by surprise and watched in fascination at it turned into it's Terrible Beastman Form and promptly tore the Raksha apart better than I ever could if I had an hour and a non moving target to begin with.
We were then confronted with the daunting task of getting rid of a large sea serpent chasing it's own tail and blocking our way forward. It was me and Raging Snowstorm who thought of attacking it from the inside. Which reminds me, we need to make preparations for such.
